1 Star Not as good as seen on TV
It is another as seen on TV product that will NOT work as it is seen on TV.
1 Star Arrived damaged
I don’t know how it works- 1 star, 2, 3 or more ???? When I opened the box it had leaked, evidently the top hadn’t been screwed on properly. And when I tried to exchange it, this was the message I got on the Amazon return screen:
” For safety reasons, items that are classified as hazardous materials or use flammable liquids or gases cannot be returned to Amazon.com. Customers should dispose of hazardous materials according to Local, State and Federal regulations. Customers should contact their local government or local waste company for directions on how to dispose of Household Hazardous Waste. ”
What a let down because if I had bought it at a brick & mortar retail store, exchange would have been no problem. I guess I’ll have to eat this selection.
At least I wasn’t out of pocket since this was part of a purchase using a gift certificate, but when buying something like this, Caveat Emptor- ( Buyer beware )
2 Stars Doesn’t hold up under pressure, stains fabrics like superglue
The first thing I tried using MightyMendit on was a tarp that had a hole in it. I followed the directions, only putting the glue on one side (and it is very difficult to extract fromt the bottle), and holding it together for a bit. Once I put the tarp back in use it took only a little pressure and the hole was back. I reapplied the glue a little more thickly, but not as thickly as I would have liked– my hands hurt from all of the squeezing afterward.
And a day later? The tear is back.
Thinking the bonding agent might just be incompatable with the material out of which they make tarps, I tried using it to glue back on a loop that holds a button on a pair of my pants. If you’re not really careful and the glue gets in a visible place, it will leave a “wet” look to the area mended. In addition, my button popped off sometime within the same day of trying to mend it.
Superglue would probably work better.
4 Stars IT Works!!!
I reparied a oriental rug, leather handbag and two pairs of pants. Very shocked that it really works!
1 Star wasted my money
got fooled by the infomercial. It probably doesn’t work any better than any other glue. I used it on a throw pillow that’s opened at the seams. It takes a while for the glue to really adhere and even 24 hours later or a week later if I barely pull at the seam, it’ll come right back apart.
